Writing for page views payment and writing for Google Adsense Revenue

By Edited Nov 14, 2015 2 5

There are many websites that pay you for writing web content.

Some websites do not pay you directly. They allow you to use your Google Adsense code. These websites are known as Google Adsense Revenue Sharing Sites.

Most of them operate by having your Google Adsense code display 60% to 80% of the times. Your articles will display the Adsense code of the webmasters 20% to 40% of the times.

Some of these include Hubpages, InfoBarrel, Triond, Xomba, Snipsly, Suite101 and Jevitt.

Some websites pay by page views or a combination of page views and upfront payment.

The best example is Associated Content. Associated Content is currently paying upfront and page views for US residents and Featured Contributors.

Bukisa is an example of a website that pays page views only.

The writing strategy differs when you are writing for page views payment and writing for Google Adsense Revenue.

What is the writing strategy for websites that pay by page views?

You need to concentrate on the keyword phrases that will bring in the most traffic. You do not need to pay attention to the commercial value of the keywords.

That is why writing celebrity news is one option. Writing sport reviews is another option. For example, you can write an article about the new dress of a certain celebrity, and another article about the football match last night.

You can focus on the news of serial killers or serial rapists. News articles generally attract a high page views within a week of publication.

This writing strategy works well only for websites that pay page views.

If you have your own blog, you would find that writing celebrity news do not make money. You may attract 10,000 visitors and none of them click on the advertisements.

That is why this strategy does not work when you are writing for Google Adsense revenue.

Let us take a look at the writing strategy for Google Adsense revenue.

You need to do keyword research. You must pay attention to the search volume and the CPC of the keyword.

CPC means the cost per click for the keyword.

It refers to the amount that the advertisers have to pay for every single click of the advertisement using that particular keyword phrase.

You will notice that some keywords do not have commercial value at all.

Imagine you are writing the article about a notorious serial killer. The keyword is the name of the serial killer. What do you think is the value of the keyword to the advertisers?

The advertisers cannot sell handbags, relationship advice, career advice or anything using the name.

That is why names of a person may attract readers. However, they have no commercial value.

It is best to stick to business niche or health niche if you want to make money from Google Adsense.

Writing for Adsense requires you to think from the perspective of the advertisers.
