Ever wonder what could be causing the itching and burning sensation in these areas of your body like the throat, the vagina, under the breast and in the lower abdomen? The answer could be a Yeast Infections, otherwise known as Candida. It is an overgrowth of yeast in the human body and in these places they tend to thrive. Presents as an itching and burning sensation, it can also be very uncomfortable, and if found in the vagina it can cause a bad odor as well.

Most people in today's modern world resorts to doctors and medical interventions for most cures. However, Yeast infections can be cured with all-natural remedies.

Below take a look at some of the natural cures for yeast infections:

• Water
Drinking 8 (250ml) glasses of water per day will help keep yeast infections (and a lot of other illnesses) at bay. With hydrating yourself throughout the day it is very important and helps keep your body balanced.

• Probiotics
Probiotics, also known as good bacteria, is an accepted method of treating yeast infections naturally. The Probiotics fight the growth of harmful elements such as Candida in the human body. It can be taken orally or you can also use suppositories.

• Garlic
This is a very popular choice for treating Candida (yeast infections). The use of garlic to combat yeast infections has various ways. You can take the garlic "pills" orally, or crush garlic and take it with water (if you don't mind the smell), other people even put garlic pills into the vagina. Using garlic in most meals is a good idea as it has a lot of good qualities which helps improve your overall health.

• Plain yoghurt
Eating plain yoghurt everyday can help battle yeast infections. Yoghurt contains live cultures which are the combative agents against yeast infections. There is also another method for using plain yoghurt as a cure to vaginal yeast infections. The method however is absolutely not for the squeamish. Take a tampon, dip it into the yoghurt and then insert it into the vagina. It has a very soothing effect and places the live cultures exactly where it is most needed. Leave the tampon in for at least an hour.

• Apple Cider Vinegar
Use 1 cup of apple cider vinegar and add it to your hot bath these will help fight yeast infections and is very soothing as well.

• Tea Bags
Soak a tea bag in water, then place it in the freezer, just before being frozen, take it out of the freezer. Then place it on the affected area, this will help sooth the burning and itching sensation.

Even though Yeast infections are most commonly among women, men could also contract the infection, usually by sleeping with a woman who has a yeast infection.
