Yo Gotti Rapper - Street Music For Hip Hop Fans

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

The reason that there are so many fans of the artist Yo Gotti is because he has a great street appeal. Not too many artists these days besides Lil Wayne and Young Jeezy have much appeal in the south. When looking at how rap artist Yo Gotti transitioned from a no name artist to one of the best in the game, his story is quite impressive. He was born in the northern part of Memphis in the projects. He grew up listening to all kinds of rap, but initially did not know for sure that he wanted to become a celebrity and recording artist.

For various reasons, he started doing things in the streets to make money. He worked his entire life as a soldier out in the streets of Memphis. When referring to him as a "solider," it is not a soldier in the literal sense of being involved in the defense of a country, rather it means being loyal to his community and trying his best to get by. All his life he saw other rappers driving around in nice cars like Lamborghini's, wearing brand new clothes, and talking about the street life. Eventually, he got around to doing the same thing, but it was not easy to acquire success from the get go.

When he started out in the game, he had to sell records out of his car trunk to whoever wanted to support his movement. Surprisingly after selling multiple records to many other people in the streets, they took a liking to his music and began telling others about how good of an artist he was. Soon, he had to make thousands of copies in order to sell his products to everyone that was interested and that wanted some. With the digital age of the internet Yo Gotti was able to even promote himself on sites like MySpace.

Things began to get serious when he caught the attention of the Inevitable Records label. They wanted to sign him to a deal because they saw potential. Even though he was getting offers from many other places at the time, he took the deal with Inevitable. This helped him book shows and expand his overall fan base even more rapidly than before. He started investing his time and money into recording more songs. Yo Gotti was busy with mixtapes when he wasn't working on a new album, and accommodating for guest appearances from other artists.

It seems as though his hard work and dedication to the game of rap has really paid off. Despite the fact that he hasn't been around long, people are starting to claim that he is one of the best artists to ever pick up a microphone. Whether you personally agree with that statement depends completely on your understanding of his music and him as a person. If you don't know much about what he has given to his fans, then take the time to do a little bit of research on some Yo Gotti lyrics or take a listen to some of the Yo Gotti freestyles that are floating around online.
