Features of the NS-YAC10

The NS-YAC10 is a 5.5-cup capacity cooker with micro computerized fuzzy logic technology measuring 15 x 10.1 x 9.2 inches. Weighing 7.2 pounds it is lighter than the NP-HBC10 which weighs 10.1 pounds and measures 10 x 14 x 8 inches. It has a setting for Umami rice which soaks rice longer and steams for a longer duration than other cookers. This ensures a better flavor in the rice. 

The YAC10 also has a slow cook function in case you would like to make soup and other items. Besides, it can cook various types of rice including brown rice and GABA rice. It can keep rice warm for 12 hours with a keep warm setting, and also has an extended warm setting and a reheat feature for heating leftover rice.

The NP-HBC10 has retained most of the useful features of the NS-YAC10. The main difference is that it comes with Induction Heating technology incorporated in it which makes the cooking pan the primary heat source. This ensures a quicker response time and uniformity of heating making a superior quality of rice. 

How to Cook with a Zojirushi

Cooking  with both the NS-YAC10 and NP-HBC10 is very easy. Measure the rice with the measuring cup that has been provided and level off with a chopstick. . Then wash the rice with cold water and repeat until the water becomes clear. Put the rice into the cooking pan and add water. Shut the lid and choose the desired setting and push start. When the cooking is over open the rice spatula to fluff and serve the rice.

Both the NS-YAC10 and NP-HBC10 are very good cookers from the Zojirushi range of cookers.
