What's the Difference Between the NS-TSC10 and NP-HBC10?

Features of the NS-TSC10

The NS-TSC10 is a cooker and warmer -- an excellent appliance that also comes with a fitted steaming basket that you can use for steaming in addition to the rice cooking functions. It offers several settings for cooking white rice, mixed rice, porridge, brown rice and rice cakes. The black inner pan provides even heat through the rice giving you high quality rice. The timer has 2 settings and a nice melody alarm or a beep will sound you off when your rice is ready.

The TSC10 also has a reheat cycle setting which is absent in the NP-HBC10 which allows you to heat leftover rice.  After use it is easy to store as it has a retractable cord which does not have to be stored separately. This is an advantage over the NP-HBC10 which has a detachable cord.

Improvements in the NP-HBC10

The NP-HBC10 has retained the great features of the NS-TGC10 and also comes with a steaming basket so that you can use the appliance as a steamer as well. The primary difference in the NP-HBC10 is that it is an Integrated Heating cooker compared to the NS-TSC10 which is a MICOM cooker.

Moreoevr, the integrated Heating Cookers also offer more control as the cooking pan becomes the source of heat unlike MICOM cookers where the heat source is located at the bottom of the cooker.  For those who are health conscious the NP-HBC10 also comes with GABA setting which is not in the TSC10.
