Firewall Ports for Streaming Media Via Xbox 360
by rizzle
What Firewall Ports Do I Open To Stream Media from Xbox 360?
Have you been trying to set your PC up to stream video or other media to your Xbox 360 and just can't seem to get it to work? Do you happen to have a firewall on your computer?
If you do have a firewall and can't get it to work, you will need to open up a couple of ports on your firewall to allow the Xbox 360 and your PC to properly communicate.
Every firewall is different, most people who are using Windows XP or Vista will have Windows firewall enabled. Some people also have a wirewall enabled on their router. The manual for your router should explain exactly how to open and close ports.

You will have to check the manual depending on what firewall you use to figure out exactly how to open/close ports, but once you open all the above ports, you should have no problem streaming audio, video or pictures from your PC to your Xbox 360.
