How to Have Fun When Your Husband Is Playing Video Games All Day

by ecm1980

Do you hate it when your husband does nothing but play video games all day...or maybe all night? Of course you do! Or at least most women do...and it's always difficult to stand idly by and watch without getting highly annoyed. But here are some easy tips to help you through it.

Things You Will Need

  • a quick wit.
  • a funny bone
  • knowledge of when you are bugging your spouse
  • Step 1

First, realize that you can't make him stop playing anytime you want, and so the best thing you can do is join in. However, most of us don't want to do that either...so here is the next best and fun thing to do. Make fun of him! Yes...make fun of your man! As long as he is the kind of guy who can take a joke and laugh at himself, this will be fine.

    Step 2

What kind of jokes or funny things should you say? Well, anything that is about him not being good at the game really. If he dies...you could say something like, "I thought you knew how to play this game?" or "Oooohhh, good job!!" Of course make sure it's in a very sarcastic voice. This will hopefully make him respond with a quick look and smile...or a quick and funny remark back to you.

    Step 3

Keep doing Step 2 for as long as it is fun. However...make sure you pay attention to when your husband actually starts getting annoyed with you. This will happen...after all, you are butting in on his turf. At that point tone it down some and let him have his fun. Keep a book handy for you to read or a laptop so you can at least still be with your man while not being bored out of your mind.

    Step 4

Lastly...buy some games that you won't mind playing with him! Yes there are games out there that the average woman can enjoy. Not all of them are gory killing games with zombies and such. Some suggestions are Scene It!, Fuzion Frenzy, Lego Star Wars, and even a game you purchase online through x-box 360's Live Arcade called Puzzle Quest. This way you can spend some quality time with your man doing something he enjoys...and who knows, you might get so good at a game that you actually start enjoying them.

Doing things that your spouse enjoys is always a good thing. It shows him or her that you care and are interested...hopfully, he or she will start doing the same for you!

    Tips & Warnings

Remember to have fun, don't be mean when you are teasing your husband/boyfriend, make the comments fun obviously not serious. You don't want to come off sounding like you are mad.
