ZiggyD's April 2012 InfoBarrel Report

April has been an exciting month, to say the least! Adsense income is steady with a slight drop over last months, which seems to correlate with missing the bonus revenue share last month and starting a bunch of other projects. On the other hand I have been working out a daily schedule and seem to be getting pretty settled in my new home and town. I have a lot to talk about in this InfoBarrel report so I might just get started.

ZiggyD's May 2012 InfoBarrel and Adsense Earnings Report

May has been a huge month for me on InfoBarrel and YouTube in terms of Adsense earnings and freelance writing gigs. I have seen massive and inspiring growth in places where I didn't expect and it seems like the care and effort I put into all of my work is really starting to turn heads. This is awesome because the exact reason why I am self-employed is because I don't like changing my values for other people. So to have my work recognized for being high-quality means that I can continue focusing on quality instead of doing what seems common in the freelance writing industry and just turning out mass-spun content.

ZiggyD's March 2012 InfoBarrel Report

At the start of March I piled a lot of goals on to my plate. I wanted to get an article written on Infobarrel every day of the month, launch a new website, collaborate on some new projects, get settled into my new house and start freelance writing. Needless to say I may have had aspirations larger than my abilities this time. Although I am very happy with what I did get done, I didn't end up getting close to what I wanted done by the end of the month.

ZiggyD's July 2012 InfoBarrel and YouTube Adsense Earnings and Strategy Report

In July I learned the lesson of diversification. Not in a harsh, catastrophic way but in a nice obvious "this is what happens if all of your content is in one niche" sort of way. YouTube was, again, the biggest focus of this month though I did see an the effects of summer on my Infobarrel earnings. Both actually had a substantial drop in earnings, but I am still seeing overall growth.

Can You Make YouTube Into a Legitimate Career?

In seeking my own YouTube success I have learned a lot about becoming a YouTube producer as a career choice and just how realistic it is to do so. In this article I want to share what I have learned. I first started making YouTube videos seriously in June 2012 and within two months I realized that there was a lot of potential for making this a serious income stream. In July I made one video that made over $50 in it's first month, and the video was only about ten minutes long.

My Favourite Video Game-Inspired Music

Video games have a history of great music tied to them, from the 8-bit symphonies of The Legend of Zelda to the haunting opening sequence from Metal Gear Solid. Video games offer an engrossing experience and music is a big part of this. It's only natural that musicians who are eager gamers create music inspired by one of their favorite mediums.

How to Monetize a YouTube Channel Without a Network Partnership

Previously, in order to make money on YouTube you had to be a member of a partner ship network such as Machinima or TGN. This was not very easy to do because most networks have minimum viewer or subscriber counts that applicant must obtain before they can join. It could take months or even years of never earning a single dollar in order to meet these requirement, especially if you were only doing it as a hobby in your spare time. Regardless of how good your content was, you could not earn from it.
