With the launch of the Wii U, Nintendo finally ventured into HD gaming. This is something the PS 3 and Xbox 360 have been doing for a very long time now. The Nintendo Wii was not capable of full HD gaming when it came out so it was left behind as the other consoles gained more ground in the console HD gaming race. But, now that the Wii U has launched with the ability to do this right out of the box is it too late to the party? I hope not.
Do your still remember the Killzone 2 pre-rendered video that was showed at E3 2005? My jaw dropped the very first time I saw that video. To say it blew everything out of the water would be an understatement judging from the reaction it got from the media and everyone else who saw it. Now, that was barely 6 years ago and it looks like we are already heading for another generation of the console war.
As we draw nearer to the launch of the next round of powerful console upgrades from the likes of Microsoft and Sony, the profound effect of this is that when these consoles land on our retail shelves they won't come cheap and because of how much they will cost many gamers will have to make the choice of buying one to forgo the other completely or wait till when the price drops in order to be able to buy at a later date.
