While videos are not intended to be the main content source on Infobarrel, we did decide to give them a little bit of exposure on the front page of the site.  If you go to http://www.infobarrel.com, under ‘Featured Article’ you will see a block of five image thumbnails that link to the five latest video contributions on the site.

PS – Please bare with us as we iron out a few little bugs.

You may or may not have noticed that InfoBarrel was having issues with a lot of the special characters that MS Word uses.  I’m happy to say that this should be fixed now! If anyone notices some characters that are displaying wierd let us know where they are by sending it to us via the contact page.

Today is a pretty big day here at Infobarrel.com

On top of our consistant traffic growth over the last 4-5 months, we’ve today reached the 1500 member mark.  Each month we take on new members and get more and more fresh unique articles building up our massive database of content.  We want to thank everybody and look forward to helping everybody generate a passive income stream through writing.

Contest Update

The contest this month, which rewards users based on how much they contribute has been a great success. There is still six days left in the month and we already have 5 writers in the top tire (90%).   We’ve got 4 people in the second highest tier (85%) and two people sitting in the third tier (80%).

There are four more of you sitting 4 points or less away from getting into that 80% Adsense share range; that is just 1 1000 word article a piece to get a larger slice of the pie throughout the entire month of June.

We will announce all the winners on June 1st as well as our next contest.

There have been some changes to the InfoBarrel Editorial Guidelines.  We clarified some of the questions about external and internal linking that we have been getting over the last couple of weeks.

May is here, and summer time is creeping around the corner.  Instead of making a contest this month where we only have a few winners, we decided that this month, whoever reaches the benchmarks outlined in this post will be rewarded with a greater Adsense revenue share percentage during the month of June.

What does this mean for you?
A greater Adsense share means you will receive a higher percentage of the Adsense ad impressions for the month of June resulting in more money in your pocket.

Articles that are longer and include more in depth information will be rewarded with more points in the contest.

Compensation:

Achieve more than 30 points – 90% Adsense Revenue Share

Achieve more than 20 points – 85% Adsense Revenue Share

Achieve more than 15 points – 80% Adsense Revenue Share

How do Points Work?

1 Point – 250+ Words

2 Points – 500+ Words

5 Points – 1000+ words
