Yesterday was a pretty fantastic day in the short history of Infobarrel.com as we wound up hitting numerous records and landmarks.
Infobarrel continues to grow at a very high pace, which is extremely exciting. Yesterday we broke into the 27K Alexa mark. That means that Infobarrel.com is now roughly the 27,000th biggest web site on the entire Internet.
On top of that we hit a new record for daily article approvals. Yesterday we finally broke the 100 articles in one day mark. We wound up hitting 103 articles beating our previous record of 95 (earlier in the week) by 8 articles. If we were to maintain the 103 articles a day mark, in one year from now, we’d have a total of roughly 40,000 articles across the site which would equate to roughly 12.5 entire printed encyclopedias!
Finally, our member and writer count is growing faster than I could have ever imagined. July 27th 2009 also landed us our 2400th member!
I will try to share more fun facts with you guys in the near future as we are all building this giant together.
Thanks again to everybody who is helping build Infobarrel into a mammoth mass collaboration project.

Congrats to Ryan and the gang. Keep up the great work and we’ll all get where we want to be!
This should be really good news for everyone who currently is a member of Infobarrel, as generally the more popular the website becomes, the higher the individual pages rank within Google. Also whilst the website continues to be much smaller in terms of traffic than some of the other similar sites (one of the biggest being Hubpages) it is growing at a higher rate and so will eventually become more popular! Well done everyone on Infobarrel!
