I’m trying to apply for a Chitika account and I’m confused on what URL to type in the box. Should we use our infobarrel profile page or another URL for a blog if we have one? Will we have to apply separately for each site we want to register with Chitika or will they provide us with a pub id like adsense does that would work on all of our sites? Thanks in advance for your help!

Yea, just apply using the http://www.infobarrel.com URL. We have direct contact with Chitika and this was how they told us to tell our writers to apply.

Yea, there is no conflict between Google Adsense and Chitika as Chitika is based on search strings while Google is contextual based upon in page content.

That should be it! You should notice Chitika impressions in your Chitika account tomorrow if you are receiving search engine traffic to your articles. It will take 4-5 days before Chitika actually places a value on your impressions, so don’t worry when it doesn’t show earnings right away.
Speaking of ad revenue…….I noticed the Kontera text links in our articles. Are you sharing Kontera ad revenue with writers and if so how do we go about signing up for that? Thanks!

Unfortunately the Kontera revenue is not shared. Running a site like Infobarrel costs a fair amount of money. The revenue from Kontera goes to pay for Infobarrel’s servers, the employees, the prizes for the contests as well as advertising the site to ensure your articles get traffic.

Love the Chitika integration, thanks for that. I was wondering however; is it possible to setup a chanel in Chitika for our IB earnings? I’m new to both IB and Chitika so maybe someone can provide some guidance.
