Good choice if you're looking for a budget motel with style

In the arty bustle of Oxford Street is the Arts Hotel. The Paddington area is filled with cinemas, art galleries, cute coffee shop, bookstores and many other interesting hang outs. The airport shuttle stops right by the hotel. There's a swimming pool, courtyard, gym and complimentary internet booths. If you like to tour the city by bike, there are complimentary bicycles on offer. A guided tour is available too.

DEVERE HOTEL, Kings Cross/Potts Point

From $72

Pretty hotel on the corner in the posh area of Potts Point. It's a little quieter here, so this is not the choice if you want to be in the heart of things. There are still lovely restaurants within walking distance too and buses/taxis to the city center are very affordable. King's Cross subway is 4 minutes walk away. Well known for its friendly staff and the rooms are quite spacey.
