Review of 2013 Trek Madone 2.1

I'd dipped my toe into road cycling, and the experience had left me in no doubt that I was not a road cyclist. That was 20 years ago! The buzz from British success at the 2012 Olympics and Le Tour De France has meant there are more road cyclists gliding past whilst I sweat it out with knobbly tyres over Tarmac - I thought I'd give a svelte road bike another go so I got a 2 series Trek Madone!

A Cycling Challenge For Charity - The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride 2012

The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride started in 1983 when 40 cyclists rode from Tockwith to Scarborough, and this charity ride has been held each year since. The current route starts at Wetherby Racecourse and finishes some 70 miles away at Filey on the east coast. This cycling challenge helps raise money for local good causes. My wife and I signed up to do it in June 2012 along with a handful of friends, as a returning cyclist it was a good bike event for me, and for my wife who is new to the sport.
