Luni: The Lost Village

Lunum - or Luni - is a prehistoric village, populated until the end of the Etruscan Age and then again during the Middle Ages. It's one of the hundreds of Etruscan villages you can encounter while walking in the countryside of the region comprising Southern Tuscany and Northern Lazio and it's also a rather suggestive place, although not well-known outside of these regions. The best period to visit Luni is during the spring, when the land is covered by flowers and the temperature is mild.

Cocktails in Italy

In the United States, we do not discriminate when it comes to enjoying our favorite alcoholic beverages: we consume Russian vodka, Mexican tequila, Scotch whiskey, and Jamaican rum without prejudice.  In Italy, however, one spirit stands alone: that violently-red, bitter elixir that finds its way into almost every Italian cocktail.  Campari.

Snowboarding and Skiing in Sestriere, Italy

Sestriere's far-reaching and longest ski runs are mostly in the Motta ski area to the north-east of the main resort, on top the small satellite of Borgata. Above the treeline, a lot of the runs on this bare face are almost indistinguishable from one another, but good fun all the same for a ski destination.
