InfoBarrel Writers - Let's Share our Twitter Handles and Support Each Other

It is sad that InfoBarrel seems to be collapsing.  However, many of us have moved on and become involved in other sites ... either our own or public sites.  I would like to continue to stay in touch and follow some of the other writers here.  In fact, I am already doing that on Twitter with a few writers I got to know here.  As a result, I thought I would start a thread where we could share our Twitter handles while we can still communicate on the InfoBarrel forum.  Below is mine, as well as the Twitter info on a couple of other writers here:

Me -  Deborah Diane ... @DeborahDian   (no e on the end)

MommyMommyMommy - Hannah Gold ...  @GirlScoutBlog

Domestic Diva  - Gloria .... @divaonline1

Eileen Hughes - Eileen Hughes ... @EileenHughes

Sharon Watterson - Sharon Watterson ... @Knit_n_scribble

Vic Dillinger - Vic Dillinger ... @vicdillinger

I hope everyone here will follow all these long-time writers from InfoBarrel.  I know I only have the info on a fraction of those of you who are here.  I hope the rest of you will list your Twitter info below.  I promise I will check back and follow you, and hope others will do the same so we can support each other, even if InfoBarrel closes down.

Still a very sad thing, watching it sink with no word From Above .  . . I thought "Our Guys" were better than that.

I'm @ballet_news on Twitter.  A smart idea Deborah Diane smile

Vic, I feel sad about Infobarrel too. I worry so much about the site being sold to a new Admin who would lock us all out without notice. ( I did a quick peek on  Flippa.com again)

Something has to happen eventually. What, I don't know.

I don't tweet much but I'm @HebertLesley

I'm also on Facebook as Lesley Hebert

I'm with Vic. I would never have expected such dastardly behaviour from our guys.

I don't think the site is being sold. It looks as if it is bring shut down  (loss of functionality, re: content editing and upload; no new features for months; lack of admin presence, etc.).

Mine on twitter is @egdcltd. As it is pretty much everywhere.

I also don't believe the site is being sold. If you want to sell something, you don't destroy it first, and it needs increasingly large amounts of work done on it to fix it again, and regain the trust of the writers (the latter is perhaps impossible). Now, if they were to sell it to the writers...

Yeah, I'm thinking it's being shut down. Although why they'd still leave the forum open for discussion is beyond me. Any day now I expect to be able to come to the site and NOT be able to log in. Then, some day after that, it just won't be here ( or it's domain will be inaccessible).

I have always believed that IB was the gold standard of content sites. Preapproval, transparency, hands on admins...now we are like the neglected first wife who put her husband through med school and is now cast aside for a newer, younger woman. They may be busy with their other sites and businesses, but who was there in the beginning? We all were.

We deserve better than this.

Yes, it makes no business sense - What's the objective of every "influencer" - To build a community of people who think you are wonderful.

That's what we were . . . yet our "leaders" run away and hide, abandoning their loyal followers. That's a large reputation hit they are going to take

Totally agree Philtrate!

We deserve to know what is happening to this site.... good or bad news..  I really think for all the work we have put in we at least deserve the truth.   Totally love Mommy x 3 analogy about the neglected first wife!!...  we have all built this site not just admin.

If  Admin would just communicate with us... I hate all this uncertainty. But with some honesty and open communication perhaps there could be some way we could resurrect IB as a kind of writers' cooperative.

If be up for that as long as it was about quality content and not shameless, SEP driven drivel!

My business Facebook page that's most appropriate (it's the site that's getting articles I would have posted here and where I'll transfer the vast majority of my content to if needed) is https://www.facebook.com/DirectoryGold-106897636018964
