I spent about 30 minutes trying to get the image uploader and video element to work, but no luck.

Yeah, I noticed our latest article just has the IB logo which is definitely a much less attractive option than having actual images.

I finally got it to work.

Good to hear.  Is there a special trick we should know?

I just clicked on the image uploader and inserted the You-tube module, and by some miracle, they worked. I was just happy that it let me edit the article.

I have one draft from February that I cant edit or delete.

I still can't add amazon modules...  still a lot of bugs...

I went all the way back to an article I wrote in 2010, and I was able to get in to edit that one. I tried adding an Amazon module, but it wouldn't work for me either.

Does anyone remember how many affiliate links we were allowed before 4.0, or if that has changed? Wasn't it two per article? I might just link directly to Amazon until the modules are working again.

It was one Amazon module per every 500 words of article. So, 1K article you can have two Amazon mods.

Earnings December, 2016: T1 - 7¢; T2 - $1.41; total = $1.48

Earnings 1/1/2017 through 5/7/2017: T1 - 13¢; T2 - $0.00; total = 13¢

Can anyone tell me why I should bother even trying to write for this site?

You shouldn't...

No admin presence/response since this thread was started on April 21st. Why is IB still open for business with the bugs not fixed? I am afraid to waste time updating my articles after reading about the challenges others are facing.

You shouldn't.

You should create your own website, and do something every single day, whether that is creating a post or getting a link.

Learn SEO, particularly on page.

It will probably take a long time to generate decent money, but eventually it will, and then you have an asset which can be sold.... 12 months revenue or 18/24 months profit.

Build a website which can generate you just $100 a month in profit and the market value of that site will likely be somewhere around $2400.

Build a site which can generate $1000 a month in profit and that site can be sold for $24000.... enough to buy yourself a bloody good car.

I've been working on building a site for the past 14 months which is now generating me about $60 a month. Not much money, but these things tend to snowball.... $60 to $600 probably won't take me any longer than $0 to $60.

The 60 facebook followers will probably become 600 just as quickly as 0 became 60, the 202 twitter followers will probably become 2020 quicker than it took to go from 0 to 202.

Create a site, you will 'get there', and at the end you have an asset which you own.

I hear the argument that this is not sociable enough for people, which is rubbish, there are "webmaster" communities all over the place where people discuss their sites and their progress and issues.

I haven't believed earning reports in about a year. eCPM has dropped by 80%, which really doesn't seem plausible. There was a stated bug but, like everything else with this site now, it was ignored.

IB is dead; the owners have killed it through neglect.

egdcltd..... you have enough content to create loads of niche sites and can get them making money and then flip them on flippa.

Organise articles by niche, register a domain for each niche, upload the content, stick adsense ads on it, create adsense channels by domain, get your on page SEO right, wait a year, then sell them for 12 x the amount per month earned from adsense from the final couple of months (or just keep the profitable ones for residual income and ditch any which don't break even).

Your content could be worth a lot more money then you currently realise.

Today I attempted to edit an older article and received this error message:

Fatal error: Class 'SoapClient' not found in /var/home/infobarrel.com/m/includes/Amazon/lib/AmazonECS.class.php on line 231

It has been a month since the admins started this forum thread and no sign of them since. I am frustrated that something as simple as changing a link is not possible. The potential to earn is still here...but it has been taken away with the lack of attention.

I am also running into some Amazon links where the product is no longer available but I can't edit them, so links are going to start going bad.   I feel like our articles are being held hostage, you can't edit them properly or remove them, so I am moving on to other things.  That error message you got mommyx3 is a new one to me!  Wow..

Just tried to edit a few of mine today and have this same message on all ones I tried.  Funny thing is yesterday I could edit 2 of mine today none. Just get above message. Frustrating. Plus I dont think I put any amazon ones on as no longer have account as they dumped me.
