Links in articles
IB says links in articles are okay, including up to 2 "self-serving" links. This doesn't seem to be true, though. I've had the same article rejected 3 times with the same robot message about links. First, I removed one of 2 links to my work on other sites. I still got rejected, same message. Then I removed the link to my own site. Still rejected. I just removed the remaining links (not "self-serving") to useful information located off IB. We'll see what happens. I'm finding IB very frustrating so far....
The link can't be in the first paragraph or, if the first paragraph is very short, near the beginning of the article.
The links were all halfway down or more in a longish piece. I just took them out and resubmitted.
I also had the same issue. My article was rejected 2 times and my links are in the middle and at the bottom. Can anyone tell his success story?
Links to your other InfoBarrel articles are OK. For external links, it might be better just to write the name of the site rather than giving the URL and then put the URL as a reference.
