What Are Your Must Have Wordpress Plugins?

I do not want to clutter up my website with too many plug ins.  I have read some articles about what to have, and everyone has a different opinion. Since I  have a high regard for the opinions of my fellow IBers, I am asking what you think are the best, must have plug ins?

Thank you!

I keep mine to a minimum:

wp-insert (best way I've found to manage adsense/chitika/etc)

Google xml sitemap

askimet (if you plan on accepting comments - 99% of what you get will be spam)

I didn't see anyone talk about this one so I'll add the one I can't live without:

Cleanup Wordpress- the tool will delete older files form post revisions. I use this tool a lot because I am constantly updating posts.

I am trying some of them out and the Akismet has a fee...or do I just do it for free by sliding the bar to the right on the page?

A very old thread...but can be relevant today if people add more information. I cannot find enough recent forum threads to get the spam to the bottom and onto the second page.
