Funnily enough, this article goes references the creation of the 200 ranking factors article the Mommyx3 posted.

It's incredible, really, that there is little (if any) correlation between content that is read (or not read) prior to being shared. I suppose design (and headlines) are more important than I would've imagined. Working on it . .

Thinking I should dust off GIMP and create some banners (not clickable banners, not advertising, just images) for my articles. And maybe some infographics.

Incidentally, I created secret boards on Pinterest so I could pin my articles easily to my different boards, separated by site where I published the article. Even without repinning the articles to a public board they are receiving a boost in traffic, I guess because Google found them on Pinterest and decided someone was interested in them.

I have been focusing on my two Girl Scout blogs these past few weeks. as one will be five years old in January!  This blog post on 13 Ways to Drive Traffic to Old Blog Posts has been very beneficial.

I have deleted old, irrelevant posts, interlinked more posts, created better keyword titles (oh, what I did not know in 2010!) and created pinnable images to them as well. Tweeting older posts also helps traffic, as well as anayzing which topics are "hot" and get more hits than others.  Then I can create more posts based on these stats.

There is still more work to be done!  If you have a blog that is at least a year old, this article is worth a read.

Thank you mommymommymommy for sharing that article.

I'm going to look at the Tweetily plug in today as sometimes I go days without Tweeting.

Earlier this year, I started adding the p.s. to the end of my posts.  It's a great place to add a call to action.

I really do need to rework my titles and add keywords.  That's one of the areas that I struggle at.

Hi Gonzo, just tried to read that "Cheat Sheet" and it gave me this:   AccessDeniedAccess Denied5B18DD796B99F7A747+eY3fSKsKS3ZdZ3BOZJwyhIl81FwoDSrwe2yfl/pHGti0JY7WefodMxS7GmntJ

Access denied. Any other way I can get this?

Thanks!!

And wow!! Thank you mommymommymommy for bumping this gold mine. It's also interesting to see that some are so simple and easily overlooked tips. All the more reasons to believe truth is always simple. Thank you. Have a great new year!
