Pocket Legends Archer

Gameplay Review:

Registration is easy as a pie, and can be done within the game. There are three races in this game, the archer, the warrior, and the enchantress, dressed in a hawk, a bear, and an elf respectively. Gameplay is simple, with the control pad on the left corner and the attack button of the bottom right of the screen. Once tapped, the attack will become automatic until the monster dies, allowing you to use spells and potions more easily. After each level, you will be given spell points, and after each specific level, you will be given a new spell. With the spell points, you can either add level to an existing spell or add the points on a new spell to activate it. Once spells are activated, you can hotkey/shortcut them onto the right side of the screen, allowing you to easily use them in combat. Similar to World of Warcraft, quests are received by talking to the correct NPCs. To begin a game, find any server in the correct level you want to play in and join it. If you prefer to play with a friend, you can also create a private game by password protecting it. Pocket Legends encourages group hunts, and the bigger the group, the faster and easier level clearings will be.

Pocket Legends Enchantress

Graphics Review:

To be honest, I was quite impressed by the graphics of this game. When I first downloaded it, I was expecting it to be the same usual bad graphics game. Instead, it turned out to be quite 3D and eye catching. The characters are cute, suitable for all ages, and the effects of several enchantress spells are very astonishing. However, I do feel that there are some rooms for improvements.

The battle animations, for example, are somewhat easy and repetitive. In Pocket Legends, a lot of the weapons are also based on several central designs and just modified to fit the name. This is unfair though. Compared to computer games, of course this game has a lot of improvements to make. However, if we compare this to other iPhone App games such as the Zenonia series, then Pocket Legends will definitely win hands down, as the graphics is just undeniably much better.

User Interface Review:

The user interface of Pocket Legends is very comprehensive yet functional. On the right section of the screen, there is the short cut section to hotkey all your spells. On the bottom of the screen, there is also the potions hotkey section. The HP and mana bar are also very user friendly. In multiplayer games, ally's HP and mana bars will also be shown on the left hand side of the screen, making it very easy for enchantress's to know when to heal friendly units. To type, simply head over to the left side of the screen where you will be presented two options: to use custom messages or to type your own. Overall, the user interface of Pocket Legends is very simply and yet effective at the same time.
