Pros

The biggest pros of Luminess Air and their airbrush cosmetics for me as a busy working woman are the following:

1. It's fast to apply. Well, when you get the hang of it. You can apply foundation on in about half the time once you get used to it. I must confess, there is a learning curve though. When I first tried our my Luminess airbrush (which by the way comes in the cutest, stylist silver bag!) I ended up with far too much foundation on my nose, more on the left cheek than the right and patches on my back and shoulders that I had missed all together. Thankfully I asked a girlfriend to help me fix it and I think it took me about five or six goes and now I'm a total airbrush pro. I can even do my neck, decolletage and back seamlessly.

2. It creates an even and flawless finish. This is probably the number one advantage for me. It just looks great. Your skin has an even, silky and polished tone. I love it. I suffer from acne scarring on my cheeks and a little bit on my back and it covers them up perfectly.

3. Airbrush make up is more hygienic. The reason I suffer from mild acne, even as an adult is because I am constantly touching my face with my less than clean hands. It's a nervous habit, I tend to scratch at my face and rub my eyes when I'm stressed or even bored. So I like the fact that the Luminess Air brush system means that I'm not applying the foundation with my hands or a dirty sponge or brush. I don't have to touch my face at all

4. Airbrush cosmetics minimize wrinkles. So the sales garb says. I guess it's because you're not pulling at your face with a sponge twice a day. To be honest, I can't say I've noticed, or I have any even anecdotal evidence that this is true, but I do notice that it covers up the wrinkles that I have.

5. You get that healthy skin-kissed look all year round! Without the dangers of skin cancer and sunburn.

6. It just makes your skin look great. I know, this is a repeat of point 2, but seriously, it's such a great finish.

Cons

Ok, I know I should come up with some disadvantages, but the honest truth is that I can't think of any. If it's good enough for Teri Hatcher and the make-up team of Desperate Housewives, it's good enough for me, believe you me!! I guess if I had to come up with a negative, it's that the product isn't so widely available in stores, but you can always buy online.

Full Review

There's a bunch of airbrush tanning systems out there, so I thought I would give you my personal review on the Luminess air brush system. Does luminess air work?

Firstly, let me say that I'm a self-tanning freak, I've tried a whole bunch of them on the market. And over the last 2-3 years, I've only been using air brushing to apply my foundation. It's just so much better than any other method. It's no wonder that all the Hollywood celebrities use airbrushing to apply their foundation and make up.

Luminess Air is a company that produces a range of airbrush tanning products from foundations, bronzers, concealers, skin care, blush, eye shadow, , metallics, hair lighting, sunless tanning and translucent powders. They are most famous for their product Luminess Tan which is a self-tanning airbrush system.

In Closing

Luminess Air products are not that expensive either and I used a free trial offer (not available in all countries) to try it out first. So I guess this is a big recommendation for a self-tanning airbrush convert!!

I agree, there are no disadvantages of using luminess air. It is easy to use also it very hygienic compared to brushes. But with this product, time is on my side! It now takes me half the time to do my make-up in the mornings, which is a huge plus for me. Being a mother of 2, i don' have a lot of time to spend on my makeup or myself in general. But just being able to wear makeup again has really helped boost my self confidence. I am an avid believer in this product.
