Should I Buy a Norelco AT810 or PT730?
If you are interested in getting a very decent but inexpensive electric shaver and have come across the two highly regarded power-touch Norelco AT810 and PT730 electric shavers -- however when comparing them you are unsure on their exact differences and ultimately which one to buy?
Well if so, you have come to the right comparison guide: AT810 Vs PT730 -- which will compare and contrast each model with regards to their features and specifcaitions so you can clearly see the differences between the AT810 and PT730 (as well their similarities). From this, you will be able to gain an overview as to which model is best suited for your facial grooming needs & preferences -- and in all which offers the best value for money (with respect to its price tag).
Fitted Technology & Shaving Experience
AT810: Flexing Heads | Super Lift & Cut | Dual Precision
PT730: Flexing Heads | Super Lift & Cut | Dual Precision
Both models are installed with a dual precision shaving mechanism that allows for a uniform cut (for both long hairs as well as your shortest stubble) and offer a smooth looking finish. They also have a unique (patented) lift and cut system that operates with the first blade lifting flat lying hair on your face and the second one then going on to cut it at skin level (this allows irritation and discomfort to be kept at a minimum). Moreover, the three floating circular heads allow for a 'skin glide' smoothness -- adapting to your facial contours -- and offer a genuinely comforting expereince when shaving (particularly decent for those who have irritable & sensitive skin).

Shaving Features & Performance
AT810: Pop Up Trimmer | AquaTec
PT730: Pop Up Trimmer |
The AT810 & PT730 are installed with a detailed pop up (integrated) trimmer that you can use to groom, 'shape' & trim your facial hair e.g. side burns, goatees, mustache etc. with absolute precision. Moreover, when it comes to cleaning the shavers -- it is incredibly easy, all you have to do is stick it under a running tap and use the cleaning brush that comes with it to remove any trapped hairs.
A unique aspect of the AT810 is that it also comes with an Aqua tec seal -- this basically allows you to choose whether to have a dry or wet shave (i.e with water, shaving gel or cream etc. or in the shower), which ever most suits your preference (personally I much prefer the latter, as it just comes across as more refreshing).
AT810: Run Time - 50 mins | Charge Time - 1 hr & Quick Charge| LED indicator
PT730: Run Time - 40 mins | Charge Time - 8 hrs | LED indicator
Obviously, both shavers are cordless so you can shave pretty much anywhere with it and are installed with rechargeable lit-ion batteries. There is however, a slight difference in performance when comparing them -- the AT810 can not only run for longer (10 mins more) but takes 7 hours less time to charge.
The AT810 also offers a unique 3 minute charge feature, in case you forgot to shave -- so you can get a quick shave if you are in a morning rush. Both models are also installed with an LED indicator (low & full) so you can gauge the condition of the battery (and see when it is due for a potential recharge).
Both shavers are covered on a "full 2 year warranty" program to cover the costs of any defects that might occur. They also have a 45 day money back guarantee program, if you are unhappy with the shavers in anyway.

Conclusion: Which will you buy the AT810 or PT730?
In terms of shaving performance there isn't actually that much difference between the two -- both offering lift & cut, dual precision and flexing heads (adjusting to your facial curvature, to allow for a close and smooth cut). The variation comes in the practical aspects such as the Aquatec seal with the AT810 as well as the dramatically improved battery performance. So with a difference around $15 between the two models, I think personally it is worth getting the AT810 (as I prefer the wet shave) but it is a subjective matter really and is up to you to decide whether the extra money is worth it?
