Some popular drugs considered as cox1 and cox2 inhibitors are non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. Hence, ginger tea has similar effects with some NSAIDs.
Remember, if prostaglandin synthesis is not repressed, pain and swelling will only get worse. It may even result in severe joint damage. For that reason, individuals suffering from arthritis should always store some NSAIDs or a more convenient and healthier option, such as tea made of ginger, to relieve your discomforts before it worsens.
As presented above, ginger tea for arthritis is very effective. However, this can also cause adverse effects, such as heartburn and diarrhea. This is especially true when consumed in large doses.
To be on the safe side, the University of Maryland Medical Center recommends that one should not exceed the daily recommended dosage of ginger, which is four grams a day. Furthermore, this natural product also has a negative drug interactions specifically with anticoagulants or medications used as blood thinners. For that reason, you should always consult your doctor before using this natural remedy. A daily glass of carrot juice is another remedy you can try. This specific type of natural juice can also alleviate joint pain and swelling.
