The Man Who Wrote the Book

I bought the fourth edition of Edmund J. Bourne’s book.  On the second to the last page, it states he received his Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Chicago, and did his postdoctoral research at Michael Reese Medical Center in Chicago.  His professional career includes teaching at several colleges and universities, authored numerous publications, and is the recipient of two national awards.  His specialty is treating patients with anxiety, phobias, and stress-related disorders, he used to be the director of the Anxiety Treatment Center in both San Jose and Santa Rosa, California.  He currently practices in Kona, Hawaii and California.  Lastly, Edmund has a website, and the URL is:

I will not comment on whether the book was good for me when I purchased it to assist me in dealing with avoidant personality disorder in 2007.  It was long time ago, and I didn’t utilized the whole book.  Seeing a psychotherapist on a consistent basis helped me a lot.
